We made it through the end of school term hustle. We made it through Christmas and New Years.
But now … how to entertain the kids through all of January? Luckily, Sydney is a summer city, but beyond beaches and picnics and backyard cricket, the arts roll out all the stops, too. From shows and experiences in the Sydney Festival to workshops and summer reading, I’ve rounded up plenty of options for creativity these January holidays in Sydney. And because, if you’re like me, you’ve done a pretty solid job of emptying your wallet for Christmas, I’ve included a section on FREE activities for getting artsy without going into debt.
Happy arts adventuring around town for the start of 2026!
