SUMMARY:The Riddle of Washpool Gully (Riverside Live at Phive)
DESCRIPTION:Something long asleep has decided to wake up. \n\n\nFar beyond the outskirts of the big city\, near a tiny town that nearly everyone forgot\, lay a dry creek bed of no special significance. Once upon a time it had been called Washpool Gully. But the world had moved on from insignificant things\, and no one had time for dry creek beds. Except in Washpool Gully something was stirring. Shaken by the rumble of engines and darkening of the sky\, something long asleep had decided to wake up. \nCombining old-fashioned storytelling with contemporary puppetry and miniature sets\, The Riddle of Washpool Gully is a reimagined tale of Australian mythology about the incredible creatures that might still live in the uncharted corners of our vast country. \nRecommended for ages 7+ and their families.

SUMMARY:You & Me and the Land of Lost Things (The Concourse - Chatswood)
DESCRIPTION:YOU and ME have lost something important. Well… actually\, lots of things. A guinea pig. A lucky rabbit’s foot. Possibly the plot! So they’re off on a wild quest through the Land of Lost Things – a world of snapping turtles\, flying socks\, treasure-hungry pirates\, and a very anxious bull. \nIt’s a dangerous adventure – but with a bathtub boat\, a guinea pig detector and just a little bit of luck\, they might just make it home. That’s if they don’t get eaten by sharks. Or tricked by Johnny Knucklehead. Or trapped in the Lost Foot Empawrium… \nThe team behind the 13-\, 26-\, 52-\, 78- and 91-Storey Treehouses brings Andy Griffiths and Bill Hopes’ brilliantly bonkers book to the stage in a hilarious new theatrical adventure for children aged 6–12 and their adults. \nGet ready for action\, imagination\, and extremely questionable navigation. And whatever you do… don’t lose your ticket! \nPerformance Times: \nSaturday 14 February 10a.m.\, 12p.m.\, 3p.m.\nSunday 15 February 10a.m.\, 12p.m.

SUMMARY:The Bogong's Song (PHIVE Parramatta)
DESCRIPTION:When a brother and sister turn out the lights for the night\, they are swept into a world of imagination — a portal to their Dreaming. Seeking an elusive Bogong Moth\, they journey into an extraordinary world where Country shares its secrets. In this place\, the past speaks through stars\, trees\, and grasses. As the children open their hearts to the stories of their ancestors\, we are all invited to experience connection to Country and discover that even the smallest creatures have a vital role to play.   \nThis brand-new work from Yolande Brown and Chenoa Deemal follows Bangarra’s award-winning Waru – journey of the small turtle\, which enthralled more than 25\,000 children last year.   \nFeaturing Benjin Maza and Tjilala Brown-Roberts\, whose talents in dance\, music\, and spoken word bring this warm-hearted story to life—The Bogong’s Song invites young audiences to listen\, reflect\, and wonder. \nSchedule: \n15 January – 11a.m. and 1:30p.m.\n16 January – 11a.m. and 1:30p.m.\n17 January – 11a.m. and 1:30p.m. \n

SUMMARY:Murmur (Sydney Opera House)
DESCRIPTION:Direct from Europe\, Murmur is both circus and sound theatre for families. Daringly\, it plays with all the senses – with rustling sound backpacks\, a landscape of speakers and an acrobatic composer! \nFor the first time in Australia\, join Murmur’s visual circus and a multi-sensory acrobatic sound composition! This is an imaginative performance for everyone who sometimes longs to be more than just human. \nCamiel is building a world full of sounds. A purring cat comes from a pocket\, a swarm of bees flies through the air\, two arms create the sound of cars. Far away you hear a finger squeaking on a window. Sea becomes wind becomes breath. \nSurrounded by the audience\, Camiel jumps\, falls\, rolls and flies in his attempt to compose the world. Suddenly the audience’s backpacks start to buzz and everything and everyone becomes part of a swirl of sounds in a loudspeaker landscape. \nSchedule: \n\n\n\nDate\nTime\n\n\n\n\nWednesday 1 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm\n\n\nThursday 2 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm\n\n\nFriday 3 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm\n\n\nSaturday 4 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm\n\n\nSunday 5 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm\n\n\nTuesday 7 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm\n\n\nWednesday 8 October 2025\n10:30am\, 1pm
