WOW Festival (Casula Powerhouse)

The WOW festival is an annual festival for children and families in Liverpool. It is a a fun filled festival for children and young people up to fifteen years old and their families.
After a two-year absence of the festival due to Covid cancellations, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre’s WOW Festival 2022 will deliver a wide range of arts, cultural events and activities suitable for children, young people, families, and people of all abilities. The WOW Festival will take over all Casula Powerhouse public spaces, creating a fully immersive and engaging experience.
The 2022 program is curated by Susie Rugg and Pip Hall and will deliver an expanded program of 7 days running from 24 – 30 September. The program will have a strong focus on sustainability, community and play and will include; free all-day drop-in events, ticketed workshops and performances, interactive art, exhibitions, outdoor play, and music.
Liverpool Library will be presenting a free pop up library and the opening weekend will feature a youth market for young local artists. Early learning centres will be creating recycled artworks to decorate the river walk and the Liverpool Street University will be doing a Takeover for the final day of the festival to present the australian qualifier of the world breakdancing championships.
